vibe matcher social network
a social network that quantifies what makes people "vibe" together and uses those factors to match them. the inspiration came from a conversation with Jacob about why they get along so well — some factors are identifiable, but there are likely many more, "possibly to the unclassifiable extent where we need machine learning."
the vision: like dating apps, but generalized to all relationships. people find others they genuinely love hanging out with. "it would actually create a lot of value that a lot of people actually are looking for." connects to the social network mapping cluster and the info exchanger idea for pre-conversation context sharing.
spreadsheet evaluation: originality 7/10, excitement 7/10, MVP 8-16 weeks. competitive landscape: Bumble BFF and Friender do friend-matching but use basic profile similarity, Peanut matches moms — no product uses ML on deep compatibility factors for general social matching. the "robust quantification of vibe" is the hard and novel part. massive cold-start and data problem — need enough users AND enough interaction data to train meaningful compatibility models. the matching algorithm IS the product. could prototype with detailed questionnaires before ML. tech depth 6/10, labeled [WRONG FIT] ("ML on interaction patterns is interesting but you need massive data you don't have").
