"shouldn't be too hard to identify the thing and click on it."

the broader variant: an extension that finds the button you press most on specific pages and lets you do it with a shortcut. evaluated and considered not that great — patterns are not consistent enough. even voice-to-click or focus-space-with-key-regions are not amazing. "something that would be good is a general purpose voice to computer control thing."
